Louise trained at Lovelock Jones Nurse Education Centre in High Wycombe from where she qualified as a registered nurse in 1987.

She has a wealth of experience in both primary and secondary care having worked at a senior level at both John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading. She worked from 2009 to 2013 as a nurse practitioner at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

Louise and her husband relocated in 2013 and are now very settled in Henstridge. Louise has worked as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in primary care since 2014 and really values all of the experience and knowledge gained from her time at the RUH, Bath, along with all her other roles.  She has special interest in sexual health, women’s health and COPD having gained a diploma and degree module in COPD.  She loves the variety that general practice brings to her role. In 2024 Louise successfully obtained her digital badge as a Advanced Clinical Practitioner with Health Education England to support her advanced clinical practice role.

In her spare time she can be found in a local coffee shop enjoying a cup and maybe a cake with her husband and Ember their Goldie. She is a regular and keen walker. She works out regularly and is passionate about personal fitness and her wellbeing.
