What’s Great in SP8
The Wellbeing Team at Gillingham Medical Practice attended a fantastic ‘What’s Great in SP8’ event at RiversMeet Leisure Centre on Saturday 18th May and enjoyed meeting some of our patients.
The team promoted ways to stay safe in the sun, get active, and make healthier food choices via an app called the NHS Food Scanner.

There was a food quiz to guess the amount of sugar per 100g in certain food items, for example: Lucozade vs. orange juice, this particularly caught the interest of young children!
Natasha, our Digital Care Coordinator, talked about BP@Home, a new initiative within the practice to remotely monitor blood pressure. If you are interested in this, please contact Natasha by telephoning 01747 834337.
Overall, the event was a great success.
